01 / Origin
A dumb side quest to make as much money as we could in a week without putting in any capital.
Aiden got bored working at some of the largest marketing agencies in the world, based in Africa and Europe… because he was making decks for other people to present.
Hiroko claims she is a type A person to the core. Born and raised in Japan, she moved to Canada with a stable, well paying job lined up. The safe route. Somehow we talked her into betting on something that did not exist yet instead.
We picked a street in downtown Victoria and started knocking on doors.
The first one said yes.
That client is still with us today.
Shortly after, we met our third cofounder, Andrew Wilkinson, and went all in on Download.

What does Download do?
Download is a social media agency and social first creative studio based in Victoria, BC. We handle social media management and paid advertising as one engine: we plan, film, edit, and publish brand building content engineered for social performance, then amplify it with data driven Meta ad campaigns. We also produce social first campaigns: one focused push around a launch, a pop up, a branded film, or an event.

We're based in downtown Victoria, BC, and specialize in brands across Victoria, Vancouver, and Calgary, with clients spanning worldwide.
What's included in social media management?
Month after month: we learn your brand, your audience, and what already works in your industry; we study, ideate, film, edit, and publish brand building video and design; we run data driven Meta ad campaigns that reach the right people; and each month closes with a clear look at what worked, so the content keeps getting better.
